FOOD SAFETY AND FOOD POLICY

OLMO MAZCUÑÁN, S.L. is a company dedicated to the marketing of mushrooms and other fungi, adapting to the quality demands of the market and increasingly strict Food Safety regulations, it has a Food Quality and Safety Management System in compliance with the requirements of the IFS Food Standard Version 7.
Management, the main connoisseur of the possible food health risks that can be generated in the processes of handling and packaging of mushrooms and fungi, from the reception of the raw material to the delivery to the final customer, expressly expresses its commitment in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Food Quality and Safety Management System, in order to achieve full compliance with the requirements and, among others, the following objectives:
Achieve the maximum satisfaction of our customers.
Satisfy customer requirements at all times, as well as legal and regulatory requirements associated with our products and Food Safety.
Provide the organization with the necessary resources and means to comply with the safety requirements of our processes, the legislation applicable to the sector and the prevention of food safety hazards identified in its processes.
Involve all OLMO MAZCUÑÁN staff so that they actively participate in promoting the Food Safety culture and, therefore, ensuring and improving both the Quality and Food Safety of our products and Good Handling Practices. At OLMO MAZCUÑÁN we will establish the necessary instruments to continuously improve both the Food Quality and Safety Management System and to be able to prevent non-conformities and food hygiene hazards associated with our activity.
The Food Safety and Quality Management System is subject to continuous improvement. Faults must be used to learn and eliminate the sources or causes that have generated them.
Quality and compliance with legal requirements regarding Food Safety are not only a consequence of controls, but of correct and exhaustive planning, execution and auditing.
Control all the processes related to the entry of raw material, control of suppliers and subcontractors, thus avoiding possible food fraud and guaranteeing the client a safe and quality product.
Inform the Client of any eventuality that may be the cause of non-compliance with the regulations for the realization of the product requested by him or committed by OLMO MAZCUÑÁN.
Prevent food fraud and ensure Food Defense, for the protection of the products that we market for human consumption, against deliberate contamination.
With regard to the Environment, OLMO MAZCUÑÁN carries out the proper segregation and control of the waste generated in its activity. This helps maintain the sustainability of the sector and demonstrate its commitment to social responsibility.
Management, as the main promoter of the Food Safety and Quality Management System, takes advantage of the distribution of this policy, to highlight that all the people of the organization within their job, are important for the correct functioning of the productive processes. , to satisfy the requirements of the product and therefore to achieve the required level of security. And, therefore, the established Quality and safety objectives can only be achieved with the support and collaboration of all.
Management, through distribution to all levels of the organization and with training and motivation, ensures that the Food Quality and Safety Policy is understood and accepted by all staff; In addition to this, it makes it available to interested parties; and with the planning of internal audits, it verifies that the Food Quality and Safety Management System maintains its efficiency and adequacy.
